Connecting Americans and Poles through Language and the Arts (CAPLA)

Connecting Americans and Poles through Language and the Arts (CAPLA) is a project of the Eagle-Orzeł Educational and Cultural Exchange, Inc. which brings American educators to Poland to teach the English language, American culture, and the Arts to Polish children between the ages of 10 and 17 within a summer camp format.

History of CAPLA

In fall of 2018, Dr. Mary Kay Pieski, Dr. Teresa G. Wojcik, and Dr. Patricia Grutzmacher responded to a request made by Ewa Barbara Musiejko, Director of the Powiatowy Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury im. Michała Elwiro Andriollego in Otwock to continue educational exchanges between Poles and Americans through a summer camp for Polish youth established by Dr. Pieski in 2013 at this location.
