American English and Culture Camp in the United States
Eagle-Orzel Educational and Cultural Exchange, Inc. is pleased to share its latest
innovative educational programming – an American English and Culture Camp in the
United States! From July 28 to August 9, 2025, Eagle-Orzel will host 16 adolescents
and 2 teachers from Otwock, Poland for a program of guest speakers, lessons,
excursions, and tours. Our organization is honored to partner with the PMDK Youth
Cultural Center (Powiatowy Młodzieżowy Dom Kultury) in Otwock to offer this
opportunity. The American English and Culture Camp in the United States offers our
international guests an immersive language and cultural experience. During their
twelve-day stay in the United States, the students will have language lessons intended
to enhance their English language proficiency and fluency. The program will also feature
excursions intended to acquaint them with sites of historical and cultural significance. In
addition to touring Philadelphia and Valley Forge, the students and teachers will visit
New York City and Washington, DC. The camp will take place on the grounds of the
National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA.
Our organization is dedicated to creating and facilitating educational and cultural
exchanges between the United States and Poland. We believe that interactions
between and among American and Polish teachers and students offer mutually
beneficial and enriching experiences. While the Polish students and teachers learn
about the United States, a group of dedicated volunteers led by Cecilia Kocinski-Mulder,
the camp’s director, will have the opportunity to learn more about Poland through daily
interactions with our Polish visitors. The Polish and American teams will jointly visit sites
such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Peace Valley Park, Welsh Valley Middle
School, Harriton High School, Villanova University, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty,
and the Tile Works in Doylestown.
